POSTPONED: we’re visiting Dr. Cherry’s dental office for a behind-the-scenes experience designed especially for kids ages 0–6.
This field trip is perfect for kids who love exploring behind the scenes or who could benefit from meeting the dentist in a fun, relaxed way without having their teeth touched.
Date: March 11, 2026
Time: 9:00–11:00 (multiple 30 minute shifts, limited space)
What You Will Experience
Once it’s time, kids will enter through the magical tree door and head into the treatment area.
1) “Sit in the big chair” moment
Kids can sit independently or on a parent’s lap—whatever feels most comfortable.
2) Meet the “dental friends”
Dr. Cherry will introduce friendly dental tools using models and kid-safe demonstrations, including:
- gauze as “windshield wipers”
- “Mr. Thirsty” that drinks up the water
- the prophy brush that works like “Wheels on the Bus”
3) Storytime + Parent Q&A
Children will move to the library nook for storytime and to practice brushing basics.
While kids listen, Dr. Cherry will chat with parents about home care tips, office technology designed to make visits easier for kids, and answer questions.
4) Wrap-Up & Goodies
Families will check out, grab a goodie bag, and kids will sign the office Healthy Tooth dry erase board on the way out.
This is an educational field trip, not an appointment. No teeth will be examined or touched.
