Kitchen Table Silversmithing - Botanicals and Bezels!

August 27, 10 am-5 pm

Are you ready to add unique cast elements to your work and create something truly one of a kind? Join us for a day of silversmithing, utilizing sterling cast botanicals sourced from master casters. They grow their own succulents and flowers and cast them in sterling silver for us to use to make beautiful, one of a kind pieces! We'll be creating a pendant with a bezel set cabochon and adding cast botanicals. You are welcome to bring your own cabochon to class and they will be verified as suitable for the project, they must be less than 1-inch square. A large selection of cast pieces and cabochons will be available for selection, and your class kit price will include all the elements needed to complete your piece.

The cost for supplies is $50 (+ tax), payable to the instructor, and includes a sterling backing plate, bezel wire, cabochon, decorative elements, and your choice of bail. You're also welcome to come by BMB Designs prior to class and select a different cabochon and any other elements you wish to use. If you have a micro torch (with butane) and soldering block, bring them to class. There are a limited number of torches available for use. If you have any of the following, you may bring them to reduce sharing time: jewelry pliers, shears, jewelry files, and bezel setting tools.

$55 MBG Members/$70 Non-Members (plus supply fee payable to the instructor at the start of class). Register no later than August 25.
