Schedule
Thursday, October 1
6:00–8:00 PM– Livestock Check-In
Friday, October 2
10 AM –12:00 PM – Livestock Check-In
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM – Weigh In
5:00 PM – Showmanship Contest (Youngest to Oldest), followed by the Steer Show and Heifer Show (Breeds, then Commercial)
All livestock must be checked in by 12:00 Noon Friday.
Entry Fees
$30.00 per animal
$10.00 per Showmanship entry
Entry Deadline: September 11, 2026
No refunds will be issued after entries are received.
Show Rules
Eligibility
Open to all Georgia FFA and 4-H members.
Georgia Junior National Livestock Show Rules will govern all situations not specifically addressed in these rules.
This will be a “Blow and Go” show. No fitting will be allowed. Fitting of any heifer or steer will automatically be disqualified.
Entries
Maximum of two (2) steers and three (3) heifers per exhibitor.
All animals must be owned, in the possession of, and under the daily care of the exhibitor by the ownership date established under Georgia Junior Livestock Show Rules.
Original registration certificates are required for all registered heifers.
Current health papers are required for all livestock.
Heifer Show
Registered heifers will be shown by birth date.
Commercial heifers will be shown by weight.
A minimum of five head of the same breed is required to establish a breed class. Breeds with fewer than five entries will compete in an Other Breeds division.
We reserve the right to combine breeds for example red angus and angus might be combined to justify having a breed show.
Steer Show
Steers will be shown by weight only.
There will be no breed divisions.
