Subject: INVITATION to KofC Council 1191 CHRISTMAS DINNER – Monday Dec. 19th, 2022 - 7:15pm
Dear Friend,
The Knights of Columbus (‘KofC’) Council 1191 wishes to invite you to our Annual Christmas Dinner (see attached Flyer) to benefit the KofC ‘COATS FOR KIDS’ program, which has distributed more than 800,000 new winter coats to needy children nationwide since 2009.
At the recent BOOT UP PHILLY! Event on October 22nd (sponsored by St. John’s Hospice/Catholic Social Services), our KofC Council 1191 distributed more than 750 articles of kids’ clothing including: 72 new hooded winter coats, 96 knit caps, 120 pairs of gloves, and 200 pairs of socks. In addition, more than 250 gently-used, donated items were shared including: kids boots/footwear, scarves, sweaters, and mittens.
Our only problem was … we could have easily distributed TWICE as much as we did! Soooo … that will be our goal for next year’s event … to at least double our COATS FOR KIDS donations at the BOOT UP PHILLY! Event.
