Join us on the EVE OF ST NICHOLAS EVE, December 4th for our 2nd Annual Krampusfest and Night Market!
St Nicholas's Night means one thing to naughty children in the Alpine region: Krampus is coming! And this year, he’s coming one night early to Media’s Towne House. This is a night not to be missed!
There will be COSTUMES. If you’re wearing one, you will get an instant door prize and become eligible for the costume contest.
There will be PHOTOS WITH KRAMPUS – we expect many Krampuses around (maybe you could be one of them!), but only one will be there for official photographs with him and our Master of Ceremonies, Saint Nicholas, the bishop of Myra and first incarnation of the beloved Santa Claus.
There will be a HORN MAKING WORKSHOP and other activities, including COLORING PAGES, and a competitive game of TOSS THE ELF. Sadly, no elves will be harmed in this game.
There will be MUSIC – expect to be serenaded by the Krampus Carolers, but don’t be shy! You can join in and add your voice to the throng.
There will be MONSTERS! Krampus will be joined by other members of the League of Yule Monsters, aka Santa’s Wrecking Crew. These will be announced as we add them…but if you have a favorite Yule Monster…DRESS UP and JOIN THE PARTY!
There will be STORIES! Our Krampus Crew will read tales at intervals throughout the night and mingle with people at their tables.
There will be SHOPPING WITH LOCAL ARTISANS! Get your Krampus fix with artwork, plushies, bath and body, mosaics, and more.
There will be one of MATT LAKE'S BOOKS included with admission.
For those of stern constitution, we will brave the night for a KRAMPUSLAUF - costumed revelers chanting, clanking, and making noise in a stroll.
Of course, there will be a READING OF THE NAUGHTY LIST, followed by punishments and absolution.
