8PM SHOW / 7 DOORS

What happens when you combine the larger than life sound of Pink Floyd, with the soulful delivery of Tedeschi Trucks Band, the harmonized leads of the Allman Brothers and the progressive, genre bending writing of Umphrey’s Mcgee? You start to get a clearer picture of The Krishna Guthrie Band. Hailing from the rolling green hills of central VT Krishna and his band are on a mission to spread their music to the world.

Guthrie’s original material will take you on a journey through his life. Along the way you’ll also hear some arrangements of The Guthrie family music and other songs that influenced his writing and help tell his story.

"Krishna’s virtuosic guitar skills, wide-ranging solos and bluesy vocals richly express his deep passion for music." - Gareth Henderson (Omni Reporter)

Krishna has been playing music almost his entire life. Being a multi instrumentalist provided the opportunity to be a support role in numerous bands throughout his career, including touring with the Guthrie Family from 2006 - 2012. In 2018 he created the Krishna Guthrie Band and started focussing on telling his own story.

"As the progeny of musical and lyrical greatness, the bar has been set high for the great-grandson of Woody Guthrie and grandson of Arlo Guthrie. As a music lover and art aficionado, he has set his own high bar in regards to his potential and personal vision for his own art." - Andrew Fersch (The Herald)

The band has released three singles so far with more to come. You can check them out on all the major streaming platforms. Follow them on socials to get more updates.
