Description

Kristine St-Pierre is a folk singer-songwriter with soul-searching ballads and a rollicking bluesy flair. Described as a ‘chansonnière’ with a traveling heart,’ Kristine has released an EP in 2010, followed by the album Call Me Crazy in 2012, and the francophone album La promisee in 2017. She received a Canadian Folk Music Award nomination in 2018 and she is also a 6-time nominee for Francophone artist of the year by the Country Music Association of Ontario. Kristine has toured across Canada, as well as in Europe, and has performed in several countries in Africa. Kristine is a strong advocate for equality and human rights, using her songs to bring light to different inequalities, like her songs ‘La promesse’ and ‘Les femmes’. Join Kristine and her band as she celebrates the release of her fourth album.

 

Kristine St-Pierre est une auteure-compositrice-interprète à la voix de velours. Cette chansonnière au coeur voyageur charme son public avec ses mélodies accrocheuses et l'authenticité de ses textes. Connue pour son aisance sur scène, des textes qui nous interpellent et sa voix mémorable, Kristine St-Pierre propose une musique remplie d’émotion, d’espoir et de force. Suite à la sortie d'un EP en 2010 et de l'album Call Me Crazy en 2012, elle lance La promesse en 2017, un premier opus tout en français. L’album lui mérite une nomination au Prix de la musique folk canadienne dans la catégorie « Auteur-compositeur francophone de l'année ». Elle récolte également six nominations aux CMAOntario Awards entre 2019 et 2023 pour artiste francophone de l’année. De concert avec sa carrière, Kristine prête sa voix à plusieurs causes qui lui tiennent à cœur, notamment en tant que militante pour les droits des femmes. En plus de plusieurs tournées à travers le Canada, Kristine a aussi eu l’occasion de présenter sa musique dans plusieurs pays, au Kenya, au Nigéria, au Congo, en Ukraine et tout récemment en Europe. Kristine et son band vous invite à venir célébrer le lancement de son nouvel album.

Red Bird is an intimate, 80 capacity music venue with excellent sound and sight lines from every seat.

We are licensed and have a selection of locally crafted beers and ciders plus a small but fine selections of wine and spirits. 

We also carry a selection of non-alcoholic beverages such as locally made sodas and non-alcoholic beers, and a small menu of snack foods such as pressed sandwiches, hot dogs, soft pretzels and pastries.

Unless otherwise noted, all shows are all ages. Everyone must have a ticket, regardless of age. 

Doors open one hour ahead of the performance time. 

Parking is available at the south end of our building and on side streets (please be respectful of parking restrictions).

Regrettably, our space is not accessible. There are six gradual and wide steps to our front door with railings on each side. Once inside, everything is on one floor including an accessible washroom. 

Event end times will vary depending on the artist.
