Step into the gallery after dark and discover Lafcadio Hearn’s haunting world of Japanese ghost stories and gothic fairytales in a setting like no other. The exhibition will be illuminated by candlelight, casting flickering shadows that draw out the supernatural heart of his work.
Adding to the atmosphere, staff from Durham University’s English Department will present readings from Hearn’s writings, bringing his tales of mystery and imagination vividly to life.
This special evening promises an unforgettable fusion of art, literature, and ambiance—perfect for those who want to experience the exhibition in a new light.
