Don't miss the Sydney debut of internationally-acclaimed pianist Kyohei Sorita.

World-renowned Japanese superstar pianist Kyohei Sorita performs in Sydney for the first time at the iconic Verbrugghen Hall. 

Tickets are now on sale for this very special event.

In 2021, Kyohei Sorita made history as the first Japanese artist in fifty years to win second prize at the esteemed 18th International Chopin Piano Competition.  

 

Since his debut in 2016, this gifted pianist has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin, the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, and the NHK Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist, he has received highest acclaim not only in Japan but also in countries such as France, Austria, Germany, Italy, Canada, and China. He is scheduled to make his debut as conductor in Vienna in December 2023.

 

He founded and incorporated the Japan National Orchestra in 2018.  The Orchestra places its homebase in Nara Prefecture, and promises to create opportunities and elevate the artistry of orchestras worldwide.  

 

Starting in 2021, he has undertaken a new endeavor as the curator of Solistiade, a music salon designed to foster connections between emerging musicians and their devoted supporters.

 

He has completed his studies at both the prestigious Tchaikovsky Memorial State Conservatory of Music and the F. Chopin State Conservatory of Music.
