Description

The multi-award winning Canadian vocalist, pianist, songwriter and CBC national radio host Laila Biali returns to The Dream Café for an intimate and memorable evening of live music and heart warming stories. For this special concert, Laila will be joined by BC's very own Jodi Proznick on bass – winner of the 2019 Western Canadian Music Award for Jazz Artist of the Year and 2022 recipient of the BC Lieutenant Governor's Arts and Music Award. Come experience how this dynamic duo "masterfully mixes jazz and pop, bringing virtuosity and unpredictability to songs that are concise and catchy" (Washington Post). Expect fan-requested jazz classics from Laila's 2024 JUNO nominated album "Your Requests", Canadian songbook gems, reimagined pop hits, engaging original material, and personal stories that weave it all together with warmth and joy.
