Description

During its heyday as a resort, Lake Hopatcong provided a summer respite for comedians, singers, dancers, and every type of performer imaginable. In addition to many well-known stars of the day - including Milton Berle, George Burns, Joe Cook, and Bert Lahr - the lake attracted scores of lesser known entertainers who worked both on stage and behind the scenes in Vaudeville, burlesque, and the follies. Why Lake Hopatcong? Join us to learn about the people and circumstances that once put a spotlight on the lake.
