Workshops for working musicians - presented by DT Productions
Launch Pad Online is a 4-part workshop series designed for independent working artists in hopes of helping them grow and develop in their careers on their own terms. It is hosted on Tuesdays weekly through November by Dan Tait - a professional singer/songwriter, booking manager, music columnist for CBC with 20 years in the business.
These are community forward events - the beauty of our industry is the connections we make with audiences and artists. So, each workshop is designed to be interactive and engaging. Yes, even the contract writing workshop will be engaging.

Sessions
November 4 - EPK Design
Kick off the Launchpad 2026 Autumn Session with EPK Design & Booking The Gig, presented by DT Productions. This first session runs Tuesday, November 4th from 7-9:30pm.
The evening begins with analyzing the key components of a striking and attractive EPK, then we get into some examples and templates, and focus on giving you the tools to land and manage gigs with confidence. Admission is $50 or is included in the four-session package.
November 11 - The Festival Application Bootcamp
The Launchpad 2026 Autumn Session rolls on with another Festival Application Bootcamp. This second session of the series runs Tuesday, November 11th from 7-9:30pm.
This session is all things festival applications. How to pitch yourself, getting your online presence cleaned up, healthy practices in application, and beyond. Admission is $50 or is included in the four-session package.
November 18 - Mental Health & Sustainability
The Launch Pad Online Autumn Session continues through November with Mental Health & Sustainability for Artists. This session runs Tuesday, November 18th from 7-9:30pm.
This evening is an open-forum - Dan will be joined by Aidan Mayes, and they will be sharing personal experiences & lessons learned over a combined nearly 50 years working as professional musicians. We'll cover everything from managing relationships, bands, building healthy work practices, and finding ways to keep light in our heart. Admission is $50 or is included in the four-session package.
November 25 - Contract Writing For Artists
The Launch Pad Online Autumn Session continues through November with Contract Writing for Artists, presented by DT Productions. This final session runs Tuesday, November 25th from 7-9:30pm.
For too many years, artists have feared contracts and looked at them with disdain. This workshop is all about how we can take that power back, make our own contracts, and will help artists build their back-end skills to protect their careers long into the future. It comes with a handful of contract templates that artists can use long into the future. Admission is $50 or is included in the four-session package.
