49 Clifton AvenueThe house at Clifton was built in 1785 — nine years after the Declaration of Independence, and not far from the birthplace of George Washington. This July, as America marks its 250th anniversary, we're opening this historic estate for a day that connects the land, the lavender, and the rich story of the Northern Neck and its role in shaping America.
Lavender & Legacy is a full summer day at Two Bees Lavender. Browse the lavender fields and learn how we grow, harvest and use this fragrant plant. Then step inside: volunteers from the Lancaster Virginia Historical Society will be guiding tours of our historic 1785 home, and an archaeologist from Virginia’s Department of Historic Resources will be on site to share what the land itself has to tell us about the people who lived and worked here.
Cap the afternoon with a cool glass of lavender lemonade from The Salty Lemon, and browse the farm store before ending your educational and entertaining day on the farm.
It's a day to slow down, get your hands in the soil, and feel the thread that runs from this ground all the way back to the founding of the country.

Wear closed-toe shoes suitable for both fields and a historic home
Bring sunscreen and bug spray — you'll be outdoors
Children under 5 are welcome to join with a ticketed adult
No pets allowed
