Description
Battle of the Paddle is a community-focused charity pickleball tournament bringing together players of all skill levels for a fun, competitive afternoon in support of leadership programs in Marion County.
Date: Sunday, May 3, 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Registration & Warm-Up: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Fairmont State University Falcon Center, 1201 Locust Ave, Fairmont, WV 26554
This exciting event features round-robin pool play followed by playoffs, with three guaranteed games per team and non-officiated matches. 24 Teams will be grouped by ability level:
- Beginner – “The Rookies”
- Intermediate – “The Seasoned”
- Advanced – “The Pros”
Participants and spectators can enjoy open play, food and beverages, raffles, games, an optional team costume contest , and an awards ceremony.
Registration: $100 per team or $50 per individual (includes play, food, and beverages)
Spectator Tickets: $10 (includes entry and food and beverages)
Proceeds benefit:
- Dr. William E. Phillips, Jr. Leadership Marion Scholarship Fund
- Leadership Marion (one full tuition sponsorship)
- Marion County Future Farmers of America (FFA)
Sponsorship opportunities are available including Grand Slam, Ace, Baseline, Rally, and optional add-on Court Sponsorship.
