Description

For the first time at Lex Center for Creative Reuse, learn bobbin lace!

Bobbin lace is a beautiful and intricate form of lacemaking originating from 16th century Italy.  This technique involves the twisting and interlocking of threads attached to small cylindrical weights called bobbins.  In this two-part class, Stacy Faraci will guide students through the very beginning skills of bobbin lace, working towards a beautiful finished project.  Both classes are included in the ticket price and are necessary to gain the skills of the class.

All materials will be provided, and students may keep a set of bobbins as a part of the ticket price.

  • Thursday, May 23, 6-8pm
