Travel back in time to Regency-period England for a story of second chances. Join our discussion group for Jane Austen’s classic, Persuasion. Whether you're a devoted Austen fan (like facilitator Pam Whipple) or discovering Captain Wentworth and Anne Elliot for the first time, we’d love to have you for tea!

What to Expect:

  • Engaging Conversations:  Themes of regret, social expectations, and enduring love.

  • Casual Atmosphere: A welcoming space to share your thoughts or simply listen to others.

  • Refreshments: Enjoy a slight repast with new friends.

Edition:  Persuasion (Penguin Classics) paperback edited by Gillian Beer. Recommended by the facilitator for its price. Dog-ear the pages, highlight, use it as a coaster, most importantly of all, immerse yourself in the world of Jane Austen! If you already have another edition, no need to purchase another. Books can be ordered through Pamlico Books!

Discussion led by Pam Whipple, local Jane Austen fan and consumer of Jane Austen Fan Fiction
