Join us as we celebrate the Dance Institute of Washington's incredible resilience, progress, and impact. On May 30th, we will host an evening of performance, reminiscence, and celebration in our Fabian Barnes Black Box Theater. Help us to honor the milestones we've reached, the communities we've transformed, and the visionary founder whose life and legacy made it all possible. 

Event Program:  

7:00 PM: Arrivals & Welcome 

7:15 PM: LEGACY program begins! Live performances and inspiring tributes to DIW's legacy will lead us toward an exciting announcement that will propel us into the organization's future.  

8:15 PM – Mingle and connect with DIW's visionary leaders and fellow supporters.  

Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping us to carry it forward. As we honor DIW's past and the leader behind our legacy, Mr. Fabian Barnes, we are not only looking back. We are envisioning what's to come and cementing the Dance Institute of Washington's critical role as a hub for DC communities over nearly 40 years.
