Join us on May 31st to hear from Herb Ferguson and Pete Fuller, two well-known fossil hunters with decades of experience in finding and collecting fossils on Fernandina's beaches. Their knowledge was solidified by years of working at Hunt's Art and Artifacts Gallery which was located on Center Street from 1994 to 2018, helping Walter and Bernie run the shop when they were away. Their payment was in knowledge and fossils, and they considered this a very fair trade. You will, too, when you see their incredible collections and hear the wealth of information that they have about fossils. Their exhibit will be in place May 9th and run though the entire month. On May 31st they will be available to show off their collection (well, a small part of their collection!), answer questions, and tell stories of the good old days when fossils were more plentiful than fossil hunters.
