Description

Join us at "Let the "PLAY" Begin!" for a summer filled with laughter, learning, and the joy of artistic expression. Led by experienced theater professionals, we will guide campers through the fundamentals of stage presence, character development, production design and the thrill of live performance.

Acting: Campers will have the chance to bring characters to life through a scripted work “Wolf Tales”. WOLF TALES is actually three interwoven stories — The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood and an original tale that links them all.

Design: Campers will learn the art of production design, including set creation, costume design, and prop-making for the live public performances.

Public Performances: The camp will culminate in a spectacular production weekend August 3 & 4, where campers will proudly present their scripted works and showcase their production design masterpieces. About Highview Arts Center

Highview Arts Center is a brand new arts organization that was created to provide arts to the local Highview community. Our mission is to connect and unite the community by engaging people of all backgrounds through arts entertainment while fostering authentic artistic expression, learning, and the exchange of ideas. We do this by presenting quality entertainment created by and for members of the community while increasing accessibility to live theatre. We will also provide classes and workshops and we hope to become a home for individual artists and groups including musicians, writers, comedians, magicians, improv troupes, dance groups, visual artists, and anyone else in the community looking for a space to present and refine their art.
