LETTERPRESS SURPLUS SALE & WAYZGOOSE

Saturday, August 22

9am to 4pm

 

Join us for a fun-filled day that includes our annual surplus sale of presses, supplies, wood & metal type, cabinets, paper cutters, books, tools, and more. The event also includes gallery tours, printing and casting demos, and hands-on activities for all ages.

 

General admission is $15; guests who purchase their admission ticket(s) online will receive a voucher for $5 off their Surplus Sale purchase.

 

Wayzgoose Workshops will be held in the afternoon for adult participants. Those who purchase their event tickets online will be sent a link to purchase space ($10/ea) in the following workshops:

  • Hot Metal Foiling @ 12pm, 1:15pm, or 2:30pm

  • Intro to Linotype @ 12:30pm or 2:30pm

  • Ludlow Typecasting @ 11:30am or 1:30pm

  • Paper Marbling @ 12pm, 1:15pm, or 2:30pm

  • Platen Press Operations @ 10am or 11:30am

  • Sublimation Printing @ 11:30am or 1:30pm

  • Windmill Press Operations @ 12:30pm or 2:30pm

The International Printing Museum, in Carson, California, has one of the largest collections of antique printing presses in the United States. We offer educational programs for school groups at the Museum, and also have a Colonial-style printing press on a trailer that can travel to schools and public events for living history programs.
