Share Celebrating its 31st season in downtown Reno, Brüka Theatre is recognized for innovative productions, exceptionally talented artists, and the acclaimed Theatre for Children touring series since its founding in 1992. Central to Brüka is the commitment to the re-investigation of contemporary and classic plays and developing new plays within Brüka’s Artistic Collective, a group that includes winners of the Nevada Arts Council and Sierra Arts Foundation artist grants and nine local best actor honors. Brüka was named “Best Theatre Company” by Reno News and Review for twenty-one years. This fast-paced, blistering comedy, THE LIFESPAN OF A FACT, is written by Jeremy Kareken, David Murrell and Gordon Farrel and based on the stirring true story of John d'Agata's essay, “What Happens There,” that ignited a seven-year debate on the blurred lines of what passes for truth in literary nonfiction. This ultimate showdown of fact versus fiction is directed by Brüka alum David Richards.
Doors open one-half hour prior to the showtime. Any tickets remaining unclaimed as of showtime will be released to the stand-by line.
