Description

Little Farmers is a wonder-filled program for ages 2-5 and their grownups, where we explore the farm, the food we grow, and our relationships with the natural world. Together, we connect sensory, place-based experiences to the changes on the farm throughout the seasons, with both open-play and inquiry-based activities—such as tasting veggies, learning about worms, and harvesting carrots—that allow little farmers to explore, build confidence, and become comfortable with the outdoors.

🥕 Announcement: Starting Tuesday, June 2, pre-registration will be required for Little Farmers sessions. We’ll no longer welcome drop-ins and we will have limited spots available for each date. Registration will be open until the session begins, or until the class fills.

  • For 2026 Punch Card holders: If you are a 2026 Little Farmers punch card holder as of May 31, you are still welcome to attend the program on a drop-in basis until you have enjoyed all of your remaining punches. After June 1, class-by-class registration through our registration site will be the only way to participate.

We hope that these changes will set us all – Little Farmers, their families, and our team – up for a season of joy and exploration at the farm.

Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center

Cedar Circle Farm and Education Center is a non-profit educational organic farm located on conserved land along the Connecticut River in East Thetford, VT. Our farm is a community hub with a bustling farmstand, coffee shop, commercial kitchen, native plant nursery, retail greenhouses, cut flower garden, and diverse education programs.

We are a working farm—growing certified organic vegetables, berries, greens, herbs, native plants (not yet certified), and cut flowers on about 25 acres—with a deep commitment to developing regenerative agriculture systems for our annual vegetable and flower production.

Cedar Circle operates as an organic farm with a social mission, and we prioritize involving members of our community as we develop and share practices that promote regenerative agriculture, good health, and a resource-rich environment. Our educational programming for learners of all ages aims to build connections between our food, ecosystems, and community.

For over 25 years since its inception, the Farm’s practices have evolved to incorporate regenerative organic principles, and the Farm’s purpose and activities have evolved to include a thriving education program and opportunities for community engagement.
