Description

One of the longest running Off-Broadway shows, Little Shop of Horrors is a horror-sci-fi-musical comedy that has entertained theatre goers for more than 35 years. This charmingly tongue-in-cheek dark comedy tells the story of a timid floral assistant, Seymour Krelborn, who stumbles across a new breed of plant and names it after his crush. The R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune as long as it is well fed, but is global domination the plant’s real intent? Featuring the creative geniuses of Howard Ashman and Alan Menkin (Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and The Beast, and Aladdin).

Showcasing Broadway performer Matthew Pedersen as the voice of the flesh-eating plant as well as talented students from across the island, including Saint Louis, Sacred Hearts Academy, Punahou, Mid-Pacific Institute, Honolulu Waldorf, Moanalua, Kalani, and Kapolei Schools. Little Shop of Horrors will be showing at the Dr. Richard T. Mamiya Theatre in Kaimuki from March 1st to 17th.

Runtime, with intermission, is around 2 hours.

Little Shop of Horrors is recommended for audiences age 10 and up.
