May's Local History Speaker Series features Nicole Patterson, Local History Librarian, Oshawa Public Libraries, speaking about Oshawa at Play: A look back at the Community Recreation Association. The Local History Speaker Series will take place following the Oshawa Historical Society's Annual Meeting.

May’s Local History Speaker Series is taking place Tuesday, May 19 at 6 PM, immediately following the Oshawa Historical Society Annual Meeting. The Speaker Series will be held at the McLaughlin Branch of the Oshawa Public Libraries, in the lower level auditorium, located at 65 Debwewin Miikan (formerly Bagot Street), Oshawa.

The Local History Speaker Series is an event presented in partnership between the Oshawa Historical Society and the Oshawa Public Libraries.

For over 60 years, the Oshawa Museum (OM) has celebrated our City’s history with engaging events, inspiring exhibits, and an immense collection of archival materials. Nestled on the shores of Lake Ontario in beautiful Lakeview Park, the OM tells the story of Oshawa from Indigenous inhabitants to present day. Home to Oshawa’s history, the OM is managed by the Oshawa Historical Society.
