Description
Lone Piñon is a New Mexican string band (orquesta típica) whose music reflects the rich confluence of cultures that shape the American Southwest. With fiddles, accordion, upright bass, guitars, vihuela, and bilingual vocals, they bring together Spanish, Mexican, Indigenous, Anglo-American, and Afro-American musical traditions into a sound that feels both deeply rooted and joyfully alive.
Rooted in teachings from elder musicians and revitalized through contemporary performance, Lone Piñon revives rare regional styles—polkas, valses, rancheras, sones, and more—honoring generations of tradition while inviting new listeners into the circle.
This concert is an invitation to gather as a community, celebrate shared humanity across cultures, and experience music that was born at the crossroads of history, migration, and collaboration.
All tickets are general admission. Seating is limited and first come, first served — dancing encouraged, so come early if you want a chair! Doors open at 6 PM.
