The Wayne County Museum was established in 1988. Our mission is to discover, preserve, document, display, and disseminate historical knowledge and artifacts of Wayne County. We also seek to increase public awareness of the heritage of Wayne County and its environs through exhibits, events, and traditional and digital information sources.
Description
Eugene O'Neill's autobiographical play Long Day's Journey Into Night is regarded as his finest work. As our current exhibit at the Wayne County Museum displays the period of prohibition and temperance in NC and Wayne County, we invite you to join the Museum Players as they explore themes of alcoholism, addiction, mental health and a family's love. Long Day's Journey Into Night is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.
All proceeds benefit the Wayne County Museum. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and depend on the support from our local community. This event is part of our annual fundraising efforts to support our mission of preserving and sharing Wayne County's rich history. This is your museum, where history lives. Thank you!
