Class prerequisite: Improv 101 or equivalent experience - verification may be requested of past improv experience.
This class explores two of longform improv's most prominent formats: the Armando and the Harold.
Students will advance their proficiency in developing both isolated scenes and cohesive longform pieces. Foundational topics include: game/heightening, longform devices, premise-based scene initiations, and ensemble performance.
From there, students will learn the mechanics of the Armando and Harold structures before showcasing what they've learned on the ImprovCity stage for family, friends, and fans.

ImprovCity shows feature professional improv comedians performing short-form improvised games, scenes and songs in a high energy comedic style. And since the show is improvised, no two shows are ever the same!
