Wilshire Boulevard Temple and the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony, Dr. Noreen Green, Founding Artistic Director, present an afternoon of music, artistry, and shared joy.
The program highlights works by Jewish composers alongside beloved operatic pieces inspired by biblical stories such as Samson and Delilah, Jacob and Rachel, and Exodus. Through soaring voices of acclaimed vocal soloists, orchestral depth, and thoughtfully curated programming, the concert offers a warm, uplifting encounter with music that has shaped both Jewish and classical traditions.

Soloist Biographies
Tracy Cox
Tracy Cox is an award-winning opera singer who has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, LA Opera, and major orchestras worldwide. A celebrated fat artist and activist, she has been featured by The New York Times and Vogue and presents her Body Justice Workshop internationally.
Noreen Green
Dr. Noreen Green is the Founding Artistic Director and Conductor of the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony, which she created in 1994, and is known worldwide for presenting music with Jewish themes. A conductor, educator, and lecturer with international engagements, her life and work have been featured in a Milken Archive of Jewish Music documentary.
Elizabeth Kerstein
Elizabeth Kerstein has served as the sole cantorial clergy at Temple Ahavat Shalom in Northridge since July 2021. A classically trained singer and educator, she has sung with the Baltimore, San Diego, and Santa Barbara opera choruses and is currently a scholarship cantorial student at AJRCA.
Ron Li-Paz
Rabbi Ron Li-Paz has performed in major concert halls and opera houses across the United States and Europe, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Concertgebouw, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. He has served since 1996 as Senior Rabbi of Valley Outreach Synagogue in Calabasas and is honored to return to sing with the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony.
Lisa Peicott
Cantor Lisa Peicott serves as the Senior Cantor of Wilshire Boulevard Temple. A classically trained soprano, she earned her undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Music on full scholarship at UCLA and trained in opera in Graz, Austria.
Brian Vu
GRAMMY®-nominated tenor Brian Vu is praised by The New York Times for his focused, transparent voice and by The Wall Street Journal as “gripping.” He has appeared with leading companies including the Metropolitan Opera and is a First Place winner of the Lotte Lenya Competition and a Grand Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition.
