2017 Latin Grammy Award-Winning Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto are a traditional Colombian folkloric cumbia group that has ascended to legendary status as torchbearers of traditional Colombian folkloric cumbia. Active since the 1940s, this illustrious ensemble has been a beacon of cultural preservation, safeguarding the rich tapestry of rhythms and melodies inherited from Colombia's Indigenous, Spanish, and Afro-Colombian ancestry. Their music serves as a vibrant testament to the resilience and vitality of Colombia's cultural heritage, transcending generations and borders with its timeless allure.
The Gaslamp Killer is a Los Angeles-based DJ and producer whose eclectic style ranges from psychedelia and world music to dubstep and left-field hip-hop. He is a longtime associate of Low-End Theory, an influential club night dedicated to experimental hip-hop and electronic music, often considered the epicenter of the L.A. beat scene.
