Join us for our fourth SPEAKER EVENT of 2026 - featuring Fr. Matthew Wheeler. Our theme for the year is "The Foundation of Healthy Marriage & Parenthood" and this fourth event will explore the topic of "TWO BECOME ONE: Rediscovering the True Meaning of SEXUALITY & MARITAL INTIMACY" inspired by the teachings of St. John Paul II.
The event will take place from 2:30pm - 4:30pm (Pacific Time) on Saturday, July 18 at American Martyrs Catholic Church (Manhattan Beach, CA). Doors open at 2:00pm.
This Talk will explore IMPORTANT TOPICS FOR THOSE WHO ARE SINGLES, DATING, ENGAGED OR MARRIED:
Is sexual desire something to be wary of, or something to be embraced?
What is your body really saying when you give yourself to another person in the sexual act?
Is there more to marital intimacy than just mutual consent? Is the marital act meant to express far more than physical pleasure?
What did St. John Paul II teach about a man's responsibility to understand his wife's body, sexual rhythm and needs?
How can tenderness and affection transform your sexual relationship?

An optional free-will donation of $7 per person is suggested to help cover the costs of the event. But feel free to donate any amount. All are welcome to attend even if you are unable to give.

BIOGRAPHIES OF PRESENTER - FR. MATTHEW WHEELER
FR. MATT WHEELER is the Pastor of Our Savior Parish & USC Caruso Catholic Center in Los Angeles. He is originally from Minnetonka, Minnesota, and came to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California. He studied accounting and philosophy and, through USC’s Campus Ministry, met some wonderful people who helped him grow in his spiritual life and discern his vocation to the priesthood. After graduating USC in 2010, he entered St. John's Seminary in Camarillo, California, and was ordained in 2018 for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Father Matt served as the Parochial Vicar of St. Anthony’s Parish in San Gabriel for four years and then served as the Administrator of Visitation Parish for two years. He enjoys pepperoni pizza, soccer, playing the guitar, and reading classic novels.
