The film is a rare look behind the scenes of one of the founding group of artists for what is known today as Contemporary Christian Music. For over thirty years the Katinas have sought to change the world, one heart at a time, through music with a message.
It is a story of deep family trials that would one day lead to freedom and a destiny to touch lives with their message of hope. Who you are, where you’re from, what you believe, it does not matter. The love of Jesus Christ is a gift for us all. The Katina children grew up in a home defined by fear, alcoholism and abuse. Their father had served in the Vietnam War and returned home a broken and violent man. But their father’s life would be transformed forever and with it give birth to five young boys’ destiny: to worship the Lord in music that would be heard by millions around the world.
From humble beginnings, this is the story of five Samoan brothers whose love for God and love for people could only be told through their own words and in seeing how they have lived their lives.
