What to Expect
In this class we will cook in pairs and share cooking methods and tasty recipes which save time and avoid the costs of using your oven – quick recipes, no-cook recipes & slow cooker recipes.
With increasing fuel and food prices we will focus on smart cooking and meal planning to make sure you are eating well and packing nutrition into your meals while making the most of your budget.
We will be joined by a caseworker from Money Advice Plus to learn more about building your financial resilience and becoming more confident with managing your money, track your spending, cut your costs and start saving.
All class participants will be offered a slow cooker or a stick blender to take home and keep – pick whichever item you would find most useful at home.
This class is run on behalf of the Community Kitchen charity - thanks to our funders The MSE Charity. and is part of our 'Get Smart Food and Money' programme.
