"...a truly gifted performer...full of enchanting songs"
New York Times

In the constellation of American folk music, the many points of bright, clear light give us direction in difficult times. Lucy Kaplansky’s light stands out while lending harmony to the folk symphony we all love. As a truly multi-talented musician and songwriter, we have enjoyed her performances at the Guthrie Center many times.

Through the difficulties of recent times, we are grateful to have her light back on the Guthrie Center stage, to lift us up and give us connection through whatever darkness we may be experiencing. An absolute joy to listen to, Lucy is a clear choice for us to include in this summer’s Troubadour Series. Please join us for a night to remember!

The Guthrie Center

The Guthrie Center seeks to cultivate cultural preservation, promote educational achievement and foster community outreach to meet the ongoing needs of the community.

Founded in 1991 by Arlo Guthrie to honor the legacy of his parents, Woody Guthrie and Marjorie Mazia-Guthrie. The Guthrie Center offers interfaith services and spiritual exchange. Bringing individuals together for cultural, educational, and spiritual exchange. We work together with other non-profit agencies to serve those in need. In doing so we hope to create an environment where individuals can come together to cultivate a deeper awareness of culture, humanity and the environment of which we are all a part.
