Enjoy an evening of illumination and music in Downtown Wellen! Join your community to place hundreds of glowing lanterns in a moment of reflection and celebration. The evening will begin with a signature jazz concert by The Eighth Note Collective, a dynamic group of Orlando based musicians who bring a fresh take on Classic Jazz music. At sundown, we'll line the Grand Lake with luminary bags, followed by a magical display of projection art choreographed to the smooth sounds of jazz.
Participants will have the opportunity to personalize their luminary bag in remembrance of loved ones ahead of placing them along the lake.
Event Schedule
- 4:00pm-6:00pm - Lanterns available for pick up
- 6:00 - 10:00 pm - Live music
- 6:30 - 7:00 pm - Lantern placement + Venice Youth Boating Association sails around Grand Lake
- 7:00 - 10:00 pm - Projection art + live music
The COMPLIMENTARY GENERAL ADMISSION RSVP allows you to receive a luminary lantern bag, a marker, and tea-light. Lanterns will be available for pick-up the night of the event starting at 4:00 pm in Downtown Wellen. We recommend bringing lawn chairs to sit on.
We also offer a special VIP EXPERIENCE, included in the $75 per person fee is a reserved seat at a communal table that seats 8 people on a premium section of the Grand Lawn, along with a chef driven 6 course tasting menu with wine by The Banyan House Restaurant. Your ticket will include a table, chairs, linens, plates, stemware, cutlery, and a luminary bag. All VIP attendees are invited to get into the spirit of the evening and decorate their table with specialty linens, floral arrangements, candelabras, vintage China/stemware, and anything else your heart can dream of to elevate your dining table. There will be an Ultimate Luminescence Table-Setting Contest.
