ELYSIUM THEATRE COMPANY IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF THE DURHAM SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL 2023
 

To celebrate the 400th Anniversary of the publication of the First Folio of the complete works of Shakespeare, Elysium Theatre Company brings you a performance of Shakespeare’s famous Macbeth.
 

Performed in the historic heart of Durham City, with a special one-off performance at Ushaw Historic House, Elysium brings Shakespeare to the County with a bang.
 

Working closely with partners Durham University and the Durham Fringe Festival, July will be a month of theatre you will never forget.

Murder, witchcraft and betrayal as war hero Macbeth descends into a world of supernatural horror and bloodshed to become one of the most notorious murderers in history.

An epic drama of the power of evil, 'Macbeth' is brought to you in a dynamic new production that captures the full sweep of Shakespeare's mighty vision. Catch it in the atmospheric setting of Ushaw House's historic stage.
