Description
Join us for a fun mini-tournament on September 17th at Welco Brewing Project in Smithville, MO! The winner with the most points will win a mat of their choice from Oh My Mahjong (up to $100 value). We will also have additional raffle prizes.
The fee is non-refundable, but you can find an alternate to play in your place.
The rules are as follows:
We will play 4 rounds with a 90 minute time limit. You will play with the same table all 4 rounds. Each player will get to deal once.
We will be playing with the 2026 NMJL Card (bring your own card).
If a game(s) is not finished before the 90 minute timer, there are no points awarded for that game(s).
The winner of each round gets the point value on the NMJL for that specific hand.
There is a 10 point bonus for picking your own winning tile (versus calling for it, etc.)
There is a 20 point bonus for a winning hand without the use of jokers.
If it is a "wall game" each player receives 10 points.
Any player with a dead hand (incorrect number of tiles, exposed tiles that don't match the card, etc) score 0 points for the remainder of the game.
We are playing with no blanks in this mini tournament.
