2000 Northwest Market StreetPaint beautiful landscapes with oils in this single-session introductory class for beginner and intermediate painters. We'll focus on using references as inspiration and letting go as our natural worlds reveal themselves on canvas. Plus, explore the mysterious medium of oil painting without using solvents--a much healthier way to interact with the medium.
All materials are provided. Paintings will be wet when class is finished. Students are encouraged to pick up paintings one week after class.
This class is recommended for students ages 14 and up. We offer a senior discount for students aged 55 and up; please email rj@pushpullseattle.com if you would like to request a discount code.
Maxx avoided oils for years, hearing that they were too toxic and dangerous. It wasn't until recently that she discovered the paints are not to blame but the solvents used with them! Painting without solvents is beautifully textured and better for you and the environment.
