Join Community Clay and The Spicy Librarian for an evening of laughter and stunning ceramics as we create your very own ceramic book vase.
Are you inspired by banned books, your favorite spicy romance, gothic classics, or poetry? In this class you'll handbuild a one of a kind vase disguised as a well loved book.
No pottery experience? No problem. your instructor Edita will teach you every step while you swap book recommendations, laugh over questionable titles, and embrace your inner literary menace.
Come celebrate the books that make your heart race, and prove once and for all that the best kind of shelf décor is handmade, and just a little bit inappropriate.
We keep our classes small to ensure you get the attention and instruction you need, so spaces are limited. Please sign up for the waitlist if the class if full. We will schedule another event if there are enough waitlisted.

Each person will have everything they need to create a book vase.
2 hours of hands-on guidance
1 finished piece per person included
No need to bring anything except your creativity. We provide aprons, clay, tools and an encouraging atmosphere. All levels of expertise are welcome.
Afterward, we’ll fire your pieces in the kiln and have them ready for pickup in about 3 weeks.
