Description
Join Judy Zugish as she shows you how to design a slim natural purse shape to carry your phone, day book, or sketch pad. You will learn about the character and beauty of natural bark basketry plus some techniques for weaving, stitching, edging and borders. You'll make a custom design with your choice from Judy's harvested and prepped willow and cedar barks for spokes and weavers. You'll personalize your pouch while learning twillweave, plaiting, and twining skills, and a great Northwest coast folded rim. You can bring along threads or fabric from home or a favorite felting project, buttons, gems, artifacts that you might wish to include. A great class for all levels! Lunch is included! Join us all day at the JACC for this class and lunch together.
BRING TO CLASS: please bring along a sharp medium size pair of scissors, a soft measuring tape, an old towel, an apron, and a spray bottle.
