Lex Center for Creative Reuse is a nonprofit brick and mortar creative reuse center located in Lexington, KY. A wide and constantly changing array of art and craft supplies are available for sale. Proceeds benefit supply grants for public school teachers, subsidize providing low-cost, high-value art and craft classes, and creating vibrant and engaging opportunities for community art.

Make an Upcycled Glass Flower!
Join us at the Lex Center For Creative Reuse to DIY a beautiful glass flower that you can display outside your home, or help us decorate your home away from home, Lex Center for Creative Reuse! This is one of our most-requested workshops because people love the flowers they create so much! So do we ... you can see a few displayed outside our shop nearly every time you come to visit.
Materials will be provided. Whether you are brand new to crafting or a seasoned expert, all are welcome to attend.
Accessibility notes
- This class involves fine motor control for grasping marble-sized objects and for squeezing an adhesive tube to attach your decorative elements.
- This class requires working with unbroken (but breakable) items such as plates and small bowls. Though the items are not sharp, caution is encouraged to keep from breaking items.
- This class will use a silicone adhesive. Though it is unlikely that you will get this on your clothing, it is best to dress appropriately.
- This class does NOT require any previous experience.
