Join us on Thursday, September 7th from 5-7 p.m., for an informal, in-person gathering of artists and creatives from the Western North Carolina region. This is a relaxed networking event that will begin with a brief introduction and presentation to provide a glimpse of the upcoming 2023 Fall Craft Your Commerce workshop series Investing for Creatives. Join us for a free and fun evening of socializing, light bites, and beverages. Lex Turnbull will be joining us to deliver a fun and informational zine making workshop. This is an in-person event held at the Center for Craft.

We will have a hands-on zine workshop led by Lex Turnbull, where we explore a local zine library collection and follow an exercise to make a zine that will help you better understand and explain the way you craft your vision for yourself and your business. All supplies will be provided for you, but if you have collage materials you've been wanting to use or have a favorite writing utensil, please bring them along! 

Lex Turnbull is a southerner who approaches art as a jack-of-all-trades. Since they work with concepts that range from how our body makes musical scores to reimagining public space; they rely on various mediums to create conceptual work as well as fabrication. In August 2021, Lex became the Director and Exhibitions Coordinator for Asheville's contemporary art space, Revolve, and currently works as the Cowork Community Coordinator at Center for Craft.
