Description

Take the opportunity to step out of your everyday life with this one-day Survival Skills training.

Spend a day outside in the woods with this camp inspired day long intensive workshop.

As adults we still have areas of ourselves that we can develop and rebuild, we are here to guide you through experiences to bring you back to center not to impose teaching.  During the day you will find peace somewhere between exertion and introspection. Nature immersion is a key component to resetting and returning to natural rhythms that support your innate abilities.

Working in nature helps to build strength, promote long-term well-being and the body’s ability to heal.

Fitness, mindfulness, intro to survival training, introspection and communication are some of the main themes of the day.

Survival skills covered include:

  • Aiming.
  • Situational awareness.
  • Knife safety.
  • Building a water filter from natural materials.
  • Fire starting.

We cover a lot in a short time.  A physical, outdoor experience centered around taking wellbeing into your own hands.

We are bombarded with contradictory expectations, we and not always given credit for having intuition.  Our instincts are often called into question, leaving us unsure if we can trust ourselves. Some of our greatest traits as men; decisiveness, the ability to think on our feet, and to protect our family at a second’s notice, all hinge on our willingness to trust ourselves. As adult men the biggest change we can make in our lives is to trust our own judgment.

The work does not end in one day, there will be rebuilding to be done as you replace worn out patterns and work toward a new future, but you will walk away with new tools to navigate your life and a community to engage with.

Must be 18 or older.

Enjoy a Ka’chava shake, a healthy, locally catered boxed dinner. The evening will wrap up with snacks, and beverages around a bonfire.

Your Host:

Kevin Salmeron is an entrepreneur, father, artist, and farmer, who spent his early years in his Indigenous community helping his family hunt in the jungle of Nicaragua.
