Description

CELEBRATE POLITICAL CHANGE AND THE RIVETING STORY OF AN EMERGING AND SUCCESSFUL DEMOCRACY

Join us on June 6 at the Indiana Theater for screenings of Andrzej Wajda’s acclaimed films Man of Marble and Man of Iron.

These films trace Poland’s political and social transformation and the rise of the Solidarity movement that helped inspire democratic change throughout Eastern Europe. The screenings also commemorate the historic June 1989 Polish elections — the first partially free elections in the communist bloc.

The screenings will be accompanied by a reception and discussion with Dr. Krys Kaniasty, Emeritus IUP Professor of Psychology.

"Man of Marble" - 1pm
