Description

Most owners of smaller “backyard forests” are interested primarily in keeping their trees healthy and their landscapes attractive. Unfortunately, many do not consider action until backyard forest trees are visibly suffering from some kind of insect or disease problem, which are usually preventable. This class will help homeowners with smaller acreages of forested land apply basic concepts of forest ecology to their trees. Topics will also include promoting native North Idaho trees, identifying common forest insects and diseases, and enhancing forest wildlife habitat.
