This month we will discuss Tartufo, by Kira Jane Buxton. For those of you who can't join us in person, there are five virtual tickets available by using this link.
About the Book
Set in the struggling Rust Belt town of Ledecky, Tartufo follows the residents as they cling to dignity, routine, and one another in the face of economic decline. When an accidental discovery—an abundance of rare and highly valuable truffles growing beneath the town—threatens to change everything, the community is thrust into chaos, greed, and possibility. At the center is Del, a grieving mother and reluctant leader, whose fierce love and moral compass ground the story as the town grapples with what salvation really looks like.
