Description
What does it mean to be crazy? How have women experienced insanity throughout history? And who decides who is or is not a mad woman?
March Madness is a devised performance piece combining elements of opera and theatre in a discussion, a collaboration, and an exploration of the relationship between femininity and insanity. Through the mediums of operatic aria and classical art song, we follow and examine classic female characters through their madness.
March Madness runs March 29th & 30th at 6pm at the SKAM Satellite Studio (849 Fort St). You are invited to stay for an optional talkback immediately following the performance on March 29th.
