March Member Night: Stout Cask Finish Release
Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, March’s Member Night marks the annual return of Old Line’s Stout Cask Finish. This year’s release is especially unique, featuring whiskey aged in a 133 gallon French Oak puncheon. The cask’s unique journey started as a PX Sherry barrel in southern Spain, was later used by our friends at Sagamore Spirit for their Sherry Cask Finish Rye whiskey, and then, most importantly to us, made its way to our neighbors at Monument City Brewing, where it held their seasonal Woodstove Imperial Stout. It now holds our American Single Malt, beautifully imparting those robust chocolate and toffee stout notes into the whiskey.
- CASK STRENGTH OPTION -
As always with our Double Oak Series releases, the Stout Finish will be bottled at 100 proof ($65.00 plus tax). However, many of our more seasoned whiskey enthusiast members have asked us to offer a CASK STRENGTH expression and we’re excited to offer that option for the first time! Available for pre-order only, members can order for pickup the Stout Finish at the full, unadulterated CASK STRENGTH (119.5 proof, $75.00 plus tax) – just the way St. Patrick would have enjoyed it after a long day of snake wranglin’ (we assume).
In an effort to make the process as simple as possible for this new option, only the cask strength expression will be available for pre-order - but there will be plenty of the 100 proof bottles available on March 12th for purchase!
