WHAT
An in-person Mario Kart 8 tournament open to all ages and skill levels! Play casually, or join the competitive bracket for a chance to win one of the following cash prizes...
1st Place - $300
2nd Place - $150
3rd Place - $70
*$20 + tax registration fee required to participate in the tournament
*Participant that contribute a Nintendo Switch Console w/ Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for use during the tournament will have their registration fee refunded at the end of the tournament (maximum number of consoles allowed - please see CONSOLE CONTRIBUTION for further details)
*Please note that this tournament will be for Race-based gameplay and not Battles

Tournament starts at 6pm. Please arrive early to check-in and find your spot!

Warehouse location with multiple stations for gameplay.
RULES
-All attendees (participants & spectators) will be required to sign a liability waiver before entering the warehouse.
-Participants must bring their own controller.
-Each set (made up of 4 races) will have 5 minutes allotted for player setup. This includes connecting controllers and setting custom controls.
-Each bracket set will have different conditions including the CC (speed), permitted Items, Course type, Course selection method, etc. The conditions of each stage will be disclosed at the beginning of each set.
-Participants may select any Character / Cart / Wheel / Glider combination at the beginning of a set after the set conditions are disclosed. Participants must use the same Character / Cart / Wheel / Glider combination for the entire set.
-Mii's are not permitted during this tournament.
-If the circumstance arises that all players in a group agree to restart the set, they may do so ONCE per set. The same set conditions will apply, and participants may select a new Character / Cart / Wheel / Glider combination if they so choose.
-Disrespectful behaviour towards players or volunteers will not be tolerated under any circumstances and may result in removal from the event without a refund.

CONSOLE CONTRIBUTION
Participants that contribute a Nintendo Switch Console w/ Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for use during the tournament will have their registration fee refunded at the end of the tournament. Please message me directly if you would like to contribute AND your console and game meet the following requirements...
-Console is in good working order with a power cable & HDMI cable
-All Track / Character / Cart / Wheel / Glider combinations are unlocked and available for use
-All DLC Track / Character / Cart / Wheel / Glide combinations are unlocked and available for use
*Console Contributors should arrive 30 minutes before the event (5:30pm) to set up their consoles and confirm that the requirements are met. If the console does not meet the requirements it will not be used in the tournament, and the participants will not have their admission fee refunded.
