2022 Outstanding Highway Engineering Award - Brady Run Bridge #3

Contractor: Mekis Construction Corporation

The existing single lane Brady Run Bridge #3, constructed in 1971 was replaced with new, two lane, 74’ long, galvanized steel plate girder integral abutment bridge via detour.  Upgrading the existing one lane bridge to modern traffic standards significantly enhanced safety of the traveling public.  Maintaining access to an active business and multiple single-family homes adjacent to the existing structure added complexity during construction.
