Description
The Hull Family Home & Farmstead in Lancaster was established in 1804 with the purchase of the property by Revolutionary War veteran, Warren Hull. Warren was a wheat farmer, and with his wife Polly and their 12 children, he eventually built a Federal-style stone house that stands today. The house has been restored to its original beauty, and the farmstead is being recreated to show how life was lived in 1820.
A tour of the Farmstead includes stops on each of the three floors of the house featuring first-person interpreters. In addition, the threshing barn, the outdoor bake oven, the medicinal kitchen garden and the family cemetery will be stations on the tour.
Your visit will include a guided tour of the Hull House and a box lunch.
